There is a further staircase up to the first floor (approx 18 stairs) where my clinic room is based.

Are you the right therapist for me?

It is really important that you feel comfortable with the clinician that you choose to undertake therapy with and as such I understand your need to make the best decision for you.

I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation to discuss your needs in order to aid in this process.

How can I book an initial assessment session?

I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation to discuss your needs and answer any questions you may have, prior to the booking of an initial assessment session, should you wish to go ahead with this.

Please contact me to arrange a mutually convenient time to speak on the telephone.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes. Everything that we discuss will be treated in strict confidence and will not be shared with anyone else.

The only exception to this is if you disclose any information that leads me to believe that you, another adult, or child is at serious risk.

I would endeavour to discuss this with you first where possible.

What happens if I need to cancel my appointment?

If for any reason you cannot attend an appointment then please give me as much notice as possible.

There will be no charge for sessions that you need to cancel if you give me at least 24 hours notice.

If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice or miss a session without cancelling, then the full fee is payable.

Do you keep notes about my therapy?

I keep client notes (short summaries of each session) in accordance with my professional body’s guidelines and data protection legislation.

These records are kept confidentially and securely.

Do you receive clinical supervision?

Yes. It is good practice to have supervision for the purposes of ensuring that my practice is safe and effective and as mandated by my professional bodies.

Any clinical information shared in supervision will not include your name or personal details and will be treated confidentially.

Can I stop therapy?

Yes. It is your decision as to whether you want to proceed with therapy. If you are unsure as to whether you want to continue with therapy or as to whether I am the right therapist for you, then please feel able to discuss this with me.

There is no obligation at any point to book further sessions.
